Using Persona Dolls in research with children to combat the insider/outsider researcher status dilemma

Persona Dolls are fabric dolls that used as part of a specific approach (The Doll approach) with young children to encourage inclusion and challenge inequality discrimination. Whilst have been celebrated for foregrounding children’s voices in research, previous scholarship has not considered the potential evade insider/outsider researcher status dichotomy, facilitating position ‘inbetweenness’. In this Viewpoint, we propose use research useful tools combat dilemma recognised much geographical other scholarship.
